Lauren combines years of clinical experience with an integrative, whole-body approach to care. She brings empathy, and a deep connection to the Lowcountry community to her role at Lowcountry Spine and Sport.
Specializing in spine and sports medicine with a focus on non-surgical pain management, Lauren is dedicated to helping patients live active, pain-free lives—whether that means playing a round of golf, walking the beach, or simply moving without discomfort.

Hands-on experience
Lauren Berl was born and raised in the Lowcountry. Upon graduation from Hilton Head Christian Academy she started college at Furman University.
While attending Furman University, she decided that she wanted to pursue a nursing career after being greatly impacted by the care that her grandfather received. She moved back to the Lowcountry and became part of the University of South Carolina Beaufort Nursing School’s second graduating class.
Following several years of hands-on nursing experience, she returned to school and earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. While in graduate school, Lauren volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and as part of her pediatric rotation participated in a mission trip to Haiti to provide medical care to the surrounding villages that did not have access to medical care.
After graduating with her Master’s, Lauren moved to Augusta, GA where she worked in Vascular surgery & Nephrology. While living in Augusta, Lauren was a member of the Junior League and participated in multiple volunteer activities.
Outside the clinic, Lauren enjoys everything the Lowcountry has to offer—from coastal sunrises to staying active outdoors with her family and friends, and spending time with her fur babies.
Her down-to-earth, approachable style makes her a trusted partner in health for patients across the region.
